Ms. Heather

As many of you may have heard Ms. Heather recently went in for surgery where they did find cancer. From the information we have received so far, the doctors took out what they could and plan to begin Chemotherapy. Ms. Shauna and Mr. David will be taking over her roll as program director for the time being. Any questions you have regarding the school, tuition, etc. can be directed towards either person or you may still contact Heather's office phone or school email address as they both have access to these accounts. Please keep Ms. Heather and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

As more information becomes available we will be sure to keep you informed.
Ms. Heather's good friend (and our Art teacher) Ms. Taleen has set up an account at www.gofundme.com for family and friends to make donations for Heather and her family.

Valentine's Day Party

On Thursday February 14th we will be celebrating our love for our friends here at APC.
We are asking each student to decorate the outside of a LARGE  shoebox at home. You may send your decorated boxes to school anytime before February 14th.
While Decorating your box remember:

Choose a box with a removable lid. Try wrapping the lid and bottom separate to allow easy access to the inside.
Cut a large rectangle in the top. Remember many valentines may have candy attached so make it large enough to allow these cards to fit.
Have your child write their name on the outside of the box so other students can read it.

Below please find a class roster to make it easier to fill out Valentines for every child. Encourage your child to write their own name on their valentines and even practice writing their classmates names!
Please check the front door for a list of lunch donation items needed for our party. If you would like to volunteer your time or Thursday is not your normally scheduled day please feel free to come in at 10:00 a.m. and join us for the activities and party.
Thanks again for all that you do to make APC such a loving place!
We couldn’t do it without you!

The Five Senses Salad

To finish up the five senses theme unit our classmates each brought in their favorite salad ingredient. We had everything from lettuce, tomatoes, and carrots to dried blueberries, raspberries and croutons

Each student added their ingredient and explained to their classmates why the choose it.

After mixing our salad we used our scientific minds to evaluate what we saw, smelled, heard, tasted and felt while eating our delicious salad.

The kids had a great time and to my surprise tried everything and then asked for seconds!
