Week 3 and 4: All About Me

We made it through he first two weeks of Back to School! 

 I hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day weekend.

These next two weeks our curriculum theme is All About Me! 

This week we are getting to know all about your child's favorite things, their families, friends and lives. We sent home an All About Me Poster this week for your student to complete and bring back.  Each student will present their poster to the class and it will then be displayed for the next week. It's so fun to see what answers they come up with! We will also be working on:

Language Arts: 

Letter Aa, Letter/word recognition assessment, Journals

Math: 

Number 0, circles vs. Ovals, color recognition, measurements 

Science:

 All About our Bodies

Social Studies: 

All About Different Families

Technology: 

Ipad Body Game

Art: 

Self Portraits

Today the kids got started on learning about themselves by tracing and decorating their body outlines. 

Take a few minutes to "Guess Who" when you see them decorating the main hallway!

 

The weekend homework assignment for this week is to finish your All About Me Poster and an All About Me Math worksheet to be completed and returned to school. It will be sent home Thursday 9/5  or you can print a copy out below:
