Box Tops for Education

Did you know APC collects Box Tops for Education? Each year we send out our box tops and are able to raise some money for our school! Please bring in any box tops by Thursday April 16th so we can send them out!

100th Day of School

Next week we will be celebrating our 

100th day of school!

 It's hard to believe it's already been 100 days! We are asking that each child bring in 100 small items such as: skittles, pennies, rubber bands etc. We will be using these items to create a fun project that will help us celebrate the 100th day of school!

Family Valentine's Day Dance

Friendship and Valentine's Day

This week we are kicking off our Valentine's Day/Friendship curriculum theme unit. 

We will be learning all about how to be a good friend! 

Our focus letter is Kk and we are working on shapes for math.

We will be celebrating the end of this unit by having a class Valentine's Day Party.

We are asking every child to please bring in a shoe box to decorate by the end of this week, so that they can make a Valentine mail box.

Please keep an eye out in your folder for a classlist. Encourage your child to sign their own name and write the name of their classmates. They will enjoy doing it and it's great practice!

We can't wait to celebrate friendship with our class!

Thursday is Show n' Share day!

Please bring one of your favorite toys or books to class on Thursday to share with our class. This week we are learning about the continents, so if you have something related to that subject area, that would be great!

Exciting Changes for APC in 2014!

Dear APC Families,

Starting next semester, Mr. David will be will be stepping down as our Director and moving on towards achieving new and exciting opportunities. We are pleased to announce that Ms. Julie and Ms. Dawn will be stepping up in January to serve as Co-Directors of our wonderful learning center. We are looking forward to their continued presence in the classrooms as well as taking on the leadership roles involved in running a successful program. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to embarking on this new chapter with you. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at any time.

First Day Back is Wednesday January 8th

Hope everyone had an amazing vacation! Don't forget we are following Jefferson County's calendar this year so the first day back to school is Wednesday January 8th! Can't wait to see all those kiddos!

Christmas Wish List

The next time you are dropping off your child, please take a second to checkout our class wish list located outside of Ms. Dawn's classroom on the big paper Christmas Tree. There are items on the tree that we would love to have for our classroom. If you are able to make a donation we would greatly appreciate it. We also are always looking for new snack ideas and donations. Remember we are a nut free school. Thank you for everything that you do! Happy Holidays!!
